Making Sign-In Simpler with Google

We know that teachers already juggle countless logins and platforms every day. When we asked what would make oodlü even easier to use, one of the most common requests was: “Can we just sign in with Google?”

We’re delighted to say that the answer is now yes.

From today, you’ll see the option to sign into oodlü with your existing Google account. No need to remember another password — just a single click and you’re in, ready to set up your games, assign questions, and see your students’ progress.

We should add a small note: we’re still awaiting final approval from Google, so it may be a few weeks before this new option is fully active for everyone. But the work is complete, and we’re looking forward to switching it on as soon as the green light comes through.

As always, your trust and your students’ safety come first. We never store children’s email addresses or personal details — only their Google ID, which allows us to link accounts securely. For teachers, we store email addresses to help with login and communication, but nothing more.

This is also just the beginning. Google sign-in is the first of a number of upcoming integrations that we know teachers will find helpful. Our focus remains on listening to your feedback and making oodlü as effortless as possible to use — so you can spend less time managing accounts and more time teaching and supporting your students.

At launch, we’ll start with the core sign-in experience. If you’d like us to add account linking (attach Google to an existing oodlü login) or Google-based registration, tell us—if a few teachers want it, we’ll prioritise it.

We’re excited to keep making things simpler and more seamless for you — and this is just the first of several exciting steps to come.
